VulcanVerse Land Staking Guide
Everything you need to know in one handy article
N.B. The first month of staking is $LAVA only (500,000), and switching to $PYR thereafter to allow us time to take in feedback.
Staking is a great way to use your tokens to generate passive income. Here, we’ll describe how this works- in the simplest possible terms.
Land Staking Summary
Land staking is the process of locking up $PYR in your owned VulcanVerse land to reap staking rewards. You need to own land, level it up to at least level 2 by sowing, earn the required daily XP and make a $LAVA payment and stake $PYR in your land to start getting rewarded.
Land starts at level 1 and can be leveled up to level 7 for maximum staking rewards.
The staking pool is shared across all those who have staked land.
Land staking step-by-step
- Open a My Forge account
- Own land and sow it to upgrade (learn more here)
- Play Vulcan Forged ecosystem games regularly- as well as ensuring you have enough XP to upgrade your avatar (10,000 XP to go from level 1 to level 2 for example).
- Then you’ll need to burn an amount of $LAVA and ‘soft-lock’ $PYR (meaning you can transfer the $PYR out at any time, but this will end staking at that level).
Maintaining your Staking Rewards
Vulcan demands that interaction is made inside his world by land owners or their Cedalions for them to benefit the gifts he bestows.
Thus, in order to maintain your staking rewards:
XP needs to be earned per day, per plot owned, to make plots ‘fertile’ for staking. This is only a daily requirement and a Cedalion can do it for you. You will only miss one day’s stake if you don’t hit that threshold.
As this is VulcanVerse specific, the XP will need to be earned in VulcanVerse.
XP required is as follows:
Initially, as a short term bonus, 200 XP earned per day will cover all plots owned within a wallet, though this will be phased out over the next 6 months.
XP earned by Cedalions is also used towards the required amount needed to make plots fertile.
Vulcan reserves the right to amend the formula to ensure ecosystem stability as new XP earning routes are added to VulcanVerse.
I’m ready, how do I stake?
Both sowing and staking is accessed through the ‘Sow Land’ tab in My Forge.
From here, providing you meet the criteria mentioned previously, you can start staking by selecting the ‘Stake’ button next to the corresponding plot of land.
Sowing and staking can also be accessed through the detail page of each land plot.
The ‘Upgrade Land Sown Level’ button here upgrades to ‘Stake’ once land is sown.
For the first month, staking will operate on a $LAVA only basis. This allows Vulcan Forged to make any adjustments needed to ensure everything is working without disturbing the overall economy.
The God effect
In VulcanVerse, your god is always with you. This includes when staking too. 10 of the 11 Olympians and 11 of the 12 Titans allow between 10% and 70% extra staking reward for whichever plot of land that god is linked to. The bonus depends on the level your god is at, from baby to full blown god level.
Of the other gods- Zeus and Cronus, leaders of the Olympians and Titans respectively, you will gain between 10% and 70% extra staking reward depending on their level for THREE linked plots of your choice.
Having a god assigned to a plot makes those plots priority for staking.
