New Hourly $LAVA Payout System

XP and hourly based rewards designed for long-life sustainability of GameFi.

Vulcan Forged is building a play-to-earn economy like none before it. A circular and balanced economy designed not just for the present and immediate future, but with the more distant future in mind. To achieve this goal, we are working on improving the current $LAVA payout mechanism. This will change the way $LAVA is awarded to players. We plan to upgrade this system in two separate stages, this article will describe the changes we will implement.

24/7 $LAVA Earnings Activated

When you play VulcanVerse, you will be consistently earning $LAVA. This is based on the XP (experience points) you make in game. The new system will be going live in two separate stages:

STAGE 1:
Your $LAVA rewards will be calculated on an hourly basis. This will be based on the XP percentage earned for each player during that time. The $LAVA available for the hourly timeslots is fixed during stage 1.

An example:
A total of 25,000 XP has been earned in 1 hour by 100 active players, while the LAVA pool is filled with 1,000 $LAVA.

Player 1 earned 500 XP. This player will be awarded 2% of the reward pool. This is 20 $LAVA. (500 XP out of 25,000 in total = 2%)

Player 2 earned 25 XP. This player will be awarded .1% of the reward pool. This is 1 $LAVA. (25 XP out of 25,000 in total = 0.1%)

Player 3 earned 125 XP. This player will be awarded .5% of the reward pool. This is 5 $LAVA. (125 XP out of 25.000 in total = 0.5%)

The total hourly pool will be paid out to all players who earned XP. Vulcan Forged reserves the right to alter the amount of $LAVA available as it pleases.

STAGE 2:
The size of the $LAVA pool will be calculated in real-time based on the amount of XP made and the active player count, to distribute the $LAVA fairly. It does not matter when you play VulcanVerse, when this system is implemented the game will reward a steady amount of $LAVA.

XP routes specification

My Forge has been updated. The XP section under the Earnings tab will specify where you earned XP. This way, it is easy to track your earnings. The XP earnings will be converted into $LAVA every 60 minutes.

IMPORTANT

As the pool does not drain anymore, from an earnings perspective it would be wise to play VulcanVerse when it isn’t as busy (though we appreciate that everyone doesn’t have the luxury of choosing a suitable time to play). We will upgrade this system in a few weeks to dynamically determine the size of the $LAVA pool based on the total active player count and XP earned (see Stage 2 above). During the first few weeks, this will not be live (see Stage 1 above) and so your $LAVA income may vary based on the timeframe you played VulcanVerse.

Extreme farming and exploit protection

We will use a max cap to protect this system from aggressive or abusive grinders and exploits. Our algorithm will not be made public, remaining with the team and adjustable at our discretion. To achieve our goal of implementing a balanced circular economy that will prosper throughout the coming years, it is vital that we take adequate protective measures for both the end user and the company. For this reason, we will heavily scrutinize potential abuse.

We have hired a specialist team to monitor all XP and $LAVA earnings 24 hours a day. On a daily basis, users suspected of abuse will be flagged and investigated. The team can warn users, and eventually freeze or block certain accounts from earning XP / $LAVA.

New earnings dashboard

We have updated the earnings dashboard with all of the information you, our players and community, have asked for. Tools have been added for Cold $LAVA to Hot $LAVA swap and the same in reverse.

Cold $LAVA: This is the $LAVA you earn in-game. It is credited to your My Forge account. You can checkout your earnings on the Earnings page.
Hot $LAVA: This is the on-chain cryptocurrency. It can be sold for $PYR.

It is possible to convert Cold to Hot $LAVA when you have earned at least 10,000 XP. A 72 hour cooling down period is applicable. As soon as your account reaches the 10,000XP, the 72 hour cooling down period will start.
