God ‘Buffs’: What Are They?
NFTs That Offer Perks & Boosts Throughout The Ecosystem Explained
Vulcan Forged NFTs aren’t only pretty pictures. They each come with utility. Gods play a crucial role within the Vulcan Forged ecosystem. You can gain various buffs and blessings within multiple games by owning a god. Gods will also increase your staking rewards for both land staking and the node program. And some say Gods can even trigger airdrops!
This article will cover the first batch of God buffs for all 24 Gods. More buffs will be introduced later as soon as VulcanVerse or the other games are ready for this. So please don’t worry if you don’t see an expected buff we previously mentioned listed for your God right now. We will start implementing with viable buffs only at present.
Default God buffs
God’s grant special buffs. These buffs can be applied to your in-game avatar, your game-play, or even your land and nodes! All gods share some primary and default perks. Let’s summarize:
- 10%-70% off marketplace fees for any Titan/Olympian. These are non-stackable. For example, if you have nurtured your baby Ares to level 7, you will receive a 70% discount on marketplace fees.
- 10% -70% extra $LAVA rewards when $LAVA is earned by playing games. These are non-stackable.
- 10% -70% extra XP when XP is earned by playing games. These are non-stackable.
- 10%-70% extra rewards from any staked PYR for 1x plot. Zeus and Cronus will buff up to 3 plots.
- Any god will increase the base generation amount for node rewards by 5%. Zeus or Cronus will increase the base generation amount by 15%. Gods are not stackable. This buff applies to Cronus nodes, Demeter nodes, and Typhon nodes (read more about nodes in our series of articles starting here).
Important disclaimer
When we announced the currently existing God buffs about a year ago, VulcanVerse was still in the early alpha phase, therefore it was hard to predict the time needed to implement these buffs. Our game design team discussed all the God buffs listed inside this document very carefully and approved the buffs. We will slowly implement these buffs as all of them can be implemented. The ones that are not presently viable will be added to your God later. Eventually, all the formerly promised buffs will slowly be integrated also.
Of course, it will be possible to unlock even more buffs or more powerful ones when you upgrade your God.
Olympian Buffs
Aphrodite
You needed to use 2 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 2 buffs.

You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.

Increased Troy arena combat stats
Ares
You needed to use 2 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 2 buffs.
‘Wrath of Ares’
Increased Vulcanite attack stats
Increased Vulcanite attack speed
Artemis
You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.

Increased chance for better items while gutting fish
Athena

‘Shield of Athena’
Increased Vulcanite defense stats
Demeter
You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Harvest of Demeter’
Increased NFT sowing speed
Dionysus
You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Dionysian Revels’
All Consumable potion duration effects increase
Hera
You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Exaltation of Hera’
Cost of upgrading Olympian Gods (not Titans) reduced
Hermes
You needed to use 2 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 2 buffs.
‘Trade Winds of Hermes’
Increased moving speed (stacks with Hyperion and Phoebe)
Increased NFT sowing speed
Poseidon
You needed to use 3 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 3 buffs.
‘The Bountiful Sea’
Decreased fishing rod cooldown
Fishing: Chance for a double catch (fish/XP)
Avatar water trail effect
Hestia
You needed to use 1 token of the Olympians. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘The Virgin of the Hearth’
The Vulcan state pays out extra rewards for any LAVA ledger stake
Zeus
You needed to use 4 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 4 buffs.
‘The Wings of Zeus’
Hovering with increased speed ability
Zeus can create a portal from anywhere in the world to Hades and Acadia.
Zeus can adopt one buff from any other God. (This buff can be changed by paying LAVA)
Zeus leaves a trail of lightning bolts.
Titan Buffs
Coeus
You needed to use 2 tokens of the Titans. We will introduce 2 buffs.
‘Eye of Coeus’
Increased spying
Increased scroll drop rate from chests
Crius
You needed to use 3 tokens of the Titans. We will introduce 3 buffs.
‘Lord of the Stars’
Increased XP & LAVA generation during nighttime
Leaves a trail of stars
Increased foraging keys drop rate
Cronus
You needed to use 4 tokens of the Olympians. We will introduce 4 buffs.
‘Sky Chariot of Cronus’
Hovering with increased speed ability
Cronus can create a portal from anywhere in the world to Boreas and Notus.
Cronus can adopt one buff from any other God. (This buff can be changed by paying LAVA)
Cronus leaves a trial of lightning bolts.
Hyperion
You needed to use 3 tokens of the Titans. We will introduce 3 buffs.
‘The Sun King’
Speed buff during daytime (stacks with Hermes)
Increased XP & LAVA while exploring landmarks
Leaves a trail of fire
Iapetus
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Craftsman of the Gods’
Discount on crafting materials
Mnemosyne
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘I remember the exact amount!’
Landmark XP / LAVA increase
Oceanus
You needed to use 2 tokens of the Titans. We will introduce 2 buffs.
‘Father of the River Gods’
Fishing: Chances of catching bigger fish increased
Chance not to consume fish bait
Phoebe
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Wings of Night’
Speed buff during the night (stacks with Hermes)
Rhea
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Goblin Mother’
The cost of upgrading Titan Gods reduced
Tethys
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘The Rushing Rivers’
Increase the chance for better items from gutting
Theia
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘Light of Life’
Increase the chance to find keys
Themis
You needed to use 1 token of the Titans. We will introduce 1 buff.
‘The Law of the Land’
Reduce costs for staking land
Of course, Vulcan reserves the right to amend the above to ensure ecosystem stability and we will be adding to the buffs mentioned. Wait until you hear about ‘Love of Life’, ‘Weaponsmith of the Gods’, and other buff sets that the team is planning on for when gods and titans reach higher levels.
Watch Out For The Combo Bonus
Some Gods share certain things with each other, such as common ancestry. These relationships may give extra buffs- some of these can be very powerful.
